1. Complete 2008 Presidential Ad Tracker (handout given in class)
Use the website, www.livingroomcandidate.com to review 1 ad from either Barack Obama or John McCain. Due: Wednesday, September 24
2. Life in 1790's reading (handout given in class), and complete the following assignment:

Life in 1790 Homework
You saw images of the late 1700s/early 1800s in class today. Now, skim through the reading I gave you on life in 1790. Choose one of the options below..
1. Create a 1/2 page mock diary entry as if were living in the 1790s.
2. Create a visual image (comic strip, drawing, sketch) which illustrates you awakening/finding yourself transported, etc. into the past and reacting to it. Think of this as a cartoon.
3. Create a story about how you somehow jumped back in time (think: time machine). Again, about 1/2 page.
No matter which you must address at least 4 specific details about life at the turn of the 18th century and how life is DIFFERENT to life today.
Be creative, but use facts to support your creativity.
