First, you need to be reading Lyddie, Ch 20-22 and taking notes. At this point, you can be focused on getting quotes that help to support your argument (was life more beneficial or more harmful for the girls)
Second, you need to make sure you have read and marked up both packets of resources, Lowell Mill Girl packet (LMG) and Primary Source packet (PSP). After marking up, you should select the more persuasive, convincing, and strong evidence from these two resources and list them on a sheet of paper (#15 in your Table of Contents -- Positives/Negatives of Lowell)
Both of these assignments are due by Monday. We will be spending time in class on Thurs and Fri to help complete both tasks, but additional work is expected at home.
Finally, your completed Thinking Map is due next Tues 11/25. For most of you, that means completing a Tree Map. For those working on the Walmart essay (Option B), that means completing a Double Bubble Map.
For those working on Walmart essay, make sure you are doing the extra research needed to gather additional materials about Walmart. I have handed out 1 article in class, and there are many additional resources (via this blog -- on the right hand side of this pg) for you to review.
