Read background on U.S. Foreign Policy in 1793: What side to take (if any)?

Tonight's homework is to prepare for the Foreign Policy simulation in tomorrow's class.

you have been given a background reading, either Pro-British, Pro-French, or Neutral. Read CAREFULLY, actively marking up, and starting to consider what your strongest arguments will be.

I want to see lots of commentary from you, as you read the handout. Summarize, ask questions, rephrase difficult passages, circle and then look up difficult vocabulary, etc.

For those working on Extra Credit, it's due tomorrow before school, so please make sure you have a printout of your creative mnemonic (memory device) and pass in before/during homeroom.

Finally, please continue to review the map and the 3 key events that will be on the Quiz on Fri (Cotton Gin, Fugitive Slave Act, and African Americans in Philadelphia.)
