This weekend your assignment is to read several pages in your textbook. Because I want you to have access to it in school, as well as at home, I've made copies for you, but in case you also want to use your book, it's pgs 411-412, 414-15. I also ask you to read either pg 413 or 374 about the Erie Canal or the Age of Steam. You should be marking up as you read.
this is due Monday, Oct 19
Then, as a preview, I also explained today in class about the creative assignment you are going to be working on in a group on Monday and Tuesday. I'm excited about how creative you folks can get, and with all the amazing work I've seen so far with your Whiskey Rebellion Songs, I have high expectations! Remember, this is a group assignment, so you need to work together to make 2 fabulous final products. You'll have two class periods to work on your projects, and it'll be due on Wed. If groups want to do some planning or additional research over the weekend, feel free. Just remember that you are responsible for the basic reading about all the key transportation advancements that is due on Monday. If you want to get a head start on the finding additional information, feel free. Just pay close attention to my final thoughts on the instruction sheet. You need to cite your sources. I'll be providing some additional materials on Monday, in class, so don't feel like you have to do additional research. This is completely optional, and not expected.
Final group products (2 advertisements) due on Wed 10/21 for Per 3,4,6,7 and Thur 10/22 for Per 1
In my downloads section, I have the Transportation Rev reading available, as well as the Creative Assignment.
