For those not in class, we watched a video about Alfons Heck, a member of the Hitler Youth.

This is a 30 minute video. As you watch, or after, please respond the following 2 questions:
1. What did you find most notable, surprising, disturbing about this story?
2. How do you view Heck? As a perpetrator (responsible for the Holocaust?), a bystander (observer, watching and not taking action), victim (taken advantage of as young children before knowing what is right/wrong)?
